About Us
OUR MISSION
Our mission at Dogwood Collars is to create a range of stylish, comfortable and thoughtfully crafted collars that not only catch the eyes of all, but are sturdy so they will last through any adventure. I take pride in crafting every collar by hand in a made to order fashion, and adore collaborating with pet parents to create fun color combinations. I strive to make our pets look as adorable as possible, while amplifying their individuality. Functionality and safety are also my top priority.
My boy. My inspiration. My best friend through my most formative years. He has followed me on all my adventures with an abundance of love and a wagging tail. Gino's unique look gained the attention of passerby's since he was a pup. I wanted to compliment his natural style with a getup that stood-out from the rest. I searched and searched, but all collars I came across seemed to be made out of similar materials, with repetitive designs; I envisioned something different.
Something comfortable that he could wear all the time, but sturdy enough to keep all 100lb of him safe on leash. The original version was made from a thrifted vintage beaded car seat cover and a simple tied string, and through countless hours of design and redesign, we came up with this version that is virtually indestructible, and nothing short of eye catching.
OUR VISION

At DOGWOOD COLLARS, we envision a world where every dog can express their individuality through stylish and comfortable collars that bring joy to both the dogs and their owners. We work with specific rescue organizations in the Colorado area by donating not only a portion of our proceeds, but many collars as well to help emphasize the charisma of all our patient fur-babies waiting for homes. This overarching vision, helping those in need is, and always will be the driving force of the creativity we are able to express with each Dogwood Collar.
